Over the weekend, Gizmodo clued me in on a screen capture of a MacBook Pro with 150 applications open on the screen at one time.
burnflare92 (as he/she is known on Flickr) states that..
..This is why the mac rocks! My macbook pro 2.2Ghz was working smoothly even after opening all the Applications in the application folder and utilities folder.
I’m sorry, but unless all of the applications opened are empty text editor windows, there is no way the system doesn’t slow down. What do you readers think about this statement?
I call shenanigans..
When not referring to himself in the third person, Brian likes rain and getting caught in Pina Coladas. Oh, and let's not forget making love to Cape dunes. Yeah, those really do it for me....er, um.. I mean Brian.

I’m sorry, I forgot to clarify a point in this post. I do believe that the Mac opened 150 apps, I just don’t believe that the Mac was actively doing anything with those apps. Having 10 instances of iTunes running is one thing, but having iTunes play 10 different songs is something entirely different.
