I think Jobs has put himself in this position. He is very smart and I feel like he has planned to have himself in such a position that they can’t fire him. If Jobs was not around apple would suffer, not because he might be the only idea person but because appleites, worship Jobs. The only way apple could get rid of jobs without suffering from the community would be to kill him, so there is a whole other possibility of conspiracy for you.

Jobs is apple and apple is Jobs. He did that himself so apple could never get rid of him again. If he goes and apple suffers greatly from his departure he won’t care.

that is funny. I would think the better way to talk to the customer would be just the opposite of what apple did. First say “Hey, something broke but we fixed it don’t worry about it.” Then have a button that says more details. Within those details you can list the information.

the way apple handled it was like screaming “HOLY CRAP! Look what happened!” then Googling it revealed no big deal
